I'm finally posting MY project from National Police Week. I made a load of goodies for DH to take to the precinct.
My patented awesome cupcakes. With blue frosting, of course.Simple trail mix. I split it into snack baggies and put them all back in the turkey pan and covered it. It was still warm and awesome by the time it made it to the precinct.
Pigs in a Blanket, or as T calls them "undercover cops!"
I'm guessing the goodies went over well, since absolutely not of them made it home. And for my own personal hero: a police mug I came across in the Cracker Barrel store, complete with utility belt.
I also pulled together seven shopping bags of gently used clothes to donate to Goodwill - a small donation, but every bit helps the community we live in. I hope all of your police week projects were a success!

Wreath Goal Met!
Thanks to everyone who supported us in our fund-raising effort toward purchasing a memorial wreath for the National Police Week Memorial. We have already met our $75 goal, and so we have raised our goal to $100 to possibly purchase a larger wreath or (should we not make that) fund future projects.
Please keep giving. Every dollar you send to NPWA is put towards our philanthropic projects, so every penny counts!

Police Week Memorial Wreath
NPWA will sponsor a wreath to be placed at the Memorial during National Police Week 2010 in May. The cost of the wreath is $75.00. You can help honor America's fallen law enforcement heroes by making a donation towards the purchase of a wreath.
If you would like to contribute, please click the link in the sidebar under "Donate to NPWA" to be directed to our donation site. Please specify that your donation is for the Memorial Wreath, and if you are a member of NPWA also specify your member name.
Any amount will help us reach our goal. Donations for the Memorial Wreath must be provided before May 1st, but all donations above and beyond are welcome. You can keep up with our donation progress by watching the 2010 Memorial Wreath Donation tracker in the sidebar.

National Police Week 2010
The official dates for National Police Week 2010 are May 9 - 15.
For a list of activities held in Washington, DC, you can visit nationalpoliceweek.com. You can also learn more about the memorial week and ways to support law enforcement from The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund website (nleomf.org).
As an integral part of the law enforcement community, The National Police Wives Association members will be participating in a variety of activities throughout the month of May to show support for our men in blue (or black or brown)!
Check back here often as we post member stories of how we are showing our love and appreciation for our local departments, departments around the US, and law enforcement around the world.
